This jacket is made for days in the mountains that start and end by headlamp. We use a 5.2-oz. stretch woven nylon shell that's windproof and water resistant, yet lightweight, breathable and soft. Inside, built-in R2 (p. 17) insulates the torso and drives out moisture. Low-bulk water-resistant zippers and a trim-fitting, lighter-weight R1 (p. 19) inside the arms contribute to unprecedented freedom of movement. Two handwarmer pockets can be accessed above a hip belt; a stash pocket holds small essentials. The aerodynamic hood is insulated and fits over a helmet. A drop tail, drawcord hem and removable between-the-Iegs strap seal out even the lightest powder on the biggest day. Imported.
